Century Markers
Celebrate 100 years of history for your home or building!
For the first time, the Highland-Douglass Neighborhood has designed and created physical, brass century markers to mark HNDA buildings that are 100 or more years old. We join other local Louisville neighborhoods with this offering, like Bonnycastle, Cherokee Triangle, Deer Park, and Tyler Park. We have partnered with the longstanding local company Signdesigns on historic West Main Street to help with the production and finishing.
OUR FIRST BATCH OF 100 MARKERS IS SOLD OUT!
But you can fill out the form and be put on the waiting list for when we make our second batch in the future!
Each marker is individually forged in solid brass by an artisan foundry located across the Ohio River in southern Indiana. The markers are unique and hand-crafted works of art, to match your historic building, and will stand the test of time. Each marker is 4″x4″ and weighs a pound and half.
This is your chance to get one of the first 100 markers forged for your 100 year old home or building. We are offering these first-run markers at the price of $120, and will use profits to help fund work and programming in the Highlands-Douglass neighborhood and the Douglass Community Center. HDNA gifted the DCC building our very first century marker! Future markers will have an increased cost, so get these unique markers from our first production run now!
Update Dec 1 2025: We have sold all 100 of the first 100 markers, but more are coming!
